Heritage in National Schools

The scheme provides a panel of Heritage Specialists who visit primary schools to help children and their teachers learn about and appreciate their local heritage. The Scheme supports the stated aims and objectives of the Social, Scientific and Environmental Education (SESE) curriculum and provides an additional educational tool and resource for teachers.

I am now available to visit National Schools to deliver workshops on fishing and maritime heritage. Each visit to a school will be customised to meet the needs of the specific setting/group. I am covering the Waterford, Wexford, Kilkenny, Tipperary and east Cork area. Here’s a review of a recent school visit:

The details of what I can cover and how to book a visit are on the Heritage Council website at the following link. To clarify anything or just ask a question directly to Andrew please email me at tidesntales@gmail.com
