Maritime Trade on Waterfords St John’s River

Part of my forgotten Waterford series. Join me in exploring the route of this once vital artery in the era of Georgian and Victorian glory when the river abounded with trade and the curses and cries of the Lightermen who freighted the waterway. Along the way get a sense of the trades, businesses and characters that helped create modern Waterford. You will also find some fascinating historic features hidden in plain site.
